The Russia 25 team beat the Kazakhstan team and won the Channel One Hockey Cup, RIA Novosti reports. The competition took place in St. Petersburg.
The teams met at the Ice Palace. The meeting ended with a score of 5:2 in favor of the Russian team. Valentin Zykov scored a double for Russia 25. He scored in the 35th and 43rd minutes. Ilya Safonov, Vasily Glotov and Maxim Sorkin also scored goals for the team.
Nikita Mikhailis and Adil Beketaev distinguished themselves in the Kazakhstan team. They scored in the 7th and 21st minutes of the game.
The Russian team, led by Roman Rotenberg, won all three games of the tournament and scored six points. The Belarusian national team is in second place, followed by the Kazakhstan team and “Stars and VHL”.
