The sports project “Rugby to School” was launched in Kurilsk. The first games took place at the local sports and recreation complex on October 28, reported edition “Red Lighthouse”.

As part of the project, one of the areas of this sport will be developed in Iturup – tag rugby. Unlike classic rugby, there is a minimum of martial arts here. The player needs to bring the ball over the line, and then fix it, pressing it to the floor, and make a throw.

The school rugby league will feature six teams. Kurilskaya and Reidovskaya schools presented two each, and educational institutions from the villages of Goryachiye Klyuchi and Gorny brought together one more.
