The Rubin players deserved the victory over Baltika Kaliningrad in the second half, said the head coach of the Kazan team, Rashid Rakhimov.
The match between Rubin and Baltika took place the day before, on October 27. The home team beat the Kaliningraders with a score of 1:0 in the last minutes.
“Rubin” managed to gain the upper hand, as the players took into account the mistakes of the first half, says Rashid Rakhimov. The players used the final third of the field poorly.
“We paid attention to these moments during the break, asking the guys to add excitement. They are great, they understood everything correctly. And by their actions in the second half, the team deserved the victory,” Rakhimov said, the Republic of Tatarstan newspaper notes.
General Director of Baltika Kirill Volzhenkin stated about the team’s plans to contact the commission of the Russian Football Union after the match with Rubin. Kaliningraders intend to receive clarification on the episode with the awarding of a penalty kick.
