The ROC announced discrimination of “unprecedented proportions” against Russian athletes
The press service of the Russian Olympic Committee commented on the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport to reject the appeal of the ROC against the decision of the IOC Executive Committee of October 12, 2023 on the temporary suspension of the ROC.
The case was considered in record time, it follows from messages on the organization’s website. In cases concerning Russia, international sports arbitration “has long since lost its objectivity, acting as a political instrument rather than an institution of justice,” the ROC said.
Civil and sporting discrimination in the run-up to the Paris Olympics has “reached unprecedented proportions”, it says.
