During an operational meeting in the regional government, the results of the Polar Olympics 2024 were summed up. This year, 40 thousand people became spectators of the Festival of the North and the Festival of the North of students, and more than 5.2 thousand athletes took part in the competition.
As Acting Governor of the Murmansk Region Oksana Demchenko clarified, 514 sets of medals and 44 cups were awarded. In total, more than 40 events were organized, including all-Russian competitions in alpine skiing, sailing and speed skating, as well as cross-country skiing.
The final will be the freestyle competition, which will be held in Kirovsk from April 22 to 25.
