The results of the Olympiad in artificial intelligence have been summed up

The final of the joint competition “Artificial Profile” of the Academy of Artificial Intelligence and the National Technological Olympiad was held in Moscow. The competition was attended by 99 schoolchildren of 7-11 grades from Russia, as well as from five foreign countries: Azerbaijan, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. In total, more than seven thousand participants were registered for the Olympiad.
In the finals of the Olympiad, the children solved subject-specific problems in mathematics developed by specialists from the Higher School of Economics, as well as problems in computer science developed by scientists from MEPhI. Each team – it consisted of two people – had to create an algorithm to recognize handwritten text in school notebooks in Russian and English.
The winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad were 24 people who will receive the right to benefits when entering the country’s leading universities, in particular, Moscow State University. M. V. Lomonosov, National Research University Higher School of Economics, St. Petersburg State University. As written in the rules of the Olympiad, the winners and winners of the Olympiad will receive 100 points in a core subject upon admission to these universities for a number of high-tech specialties.
Five teams that created the best handwriting recognition algorithms received cash education certificates with a face value of 250,000 to 650,000 rubles, valuable gifts and an invitation to internships.
According to HSE Vice-Rector, head of the NTI Circle Movement working group Dmitry Zemtsov, the team engineering competition in the field of Artificial Intelligence of the National Technology Olympiad was held for the third time. For all three years, 15,607 schoolchildren took part in them.

The National Technological Olympiad is an all-Russian technology game for schoolchildren of 5th-11th grades, university and college students in a wide range of modern areas: from artificial intelligence to genome editing, space technologies, and computer game development.
