Ukraine fired four rockets at the Chongarsky bridge on the administrative border of the Kherson region and Crimea, declared a representative of the military investigation department of the Russian Investigative Committee in a commentary to RIA Novosti.

“According to preliminary data, four arrivals of unidentified missiles were recorded. During the inspection of the scene, elements of these missiles were seized, one of which has a marking on the nameplate indicating that this missile was manufactured in France, ”he said.

At the same time, one rocket hit the roadbed, the representative of the UK added.

Earlier today, Acting Governor of the Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo informed about the missile strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the bridges on the administrative border of the Kherson region and Crimea. According to preliminary data, the Armed Forces of Ukraine used British Storm Shadow missiles, he said.

The head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, in turn, confirmed the blow to the Chongar bridge. Specialists are conducting an examination to assess the type of ammunition, he added. Later Chairman of the State Council of the Republic Vladimir Konstantinov declared about minor damage to the bridge, so the restoration of the object will not take much time.

On June 20, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced Kyiv’s plans to strike Russian territory with HIMARS and Storm Shadow missiles, including Crimea. The use of these missiles outside the special operation zone will be regarded as a full-fledged involvement of the United States and Great Britain in the conflict, he stressed at the time. In this case, the Russian Federation will inflict immediate strikes on decision-making centers on the territory of Ukraine.
