The replacement of elevator equipment on Picturesque Street in building No. 48 has been completed

As part of the capital’s housing overhaul program, all elevators in building No. 48 on Zhivopisnaya Street were replaced. This house built in 1940 is made in neoclassical style and is an architectural highlight of the Shchukino district. The seven-story building attracts the eyes of passers-by thanks to its bright portrait.

Recall that in total in the North-Western District of the capital, as part of the regional overhaul program in 2022, it is planned to replace 220 elevators. House number 48 on Picturesque Street is the oldest building in the district, in which the elevators were replaced this year.

In 2022, all three single elevators were replaced in it. In addition to beautiful and modern elevator cabins, new winches, counterweights and control stations have been installed to ensure maximum comfort and safety for residents. The speed of movement of the new lifts has become higher, and the ride of the cabin is much softer. Disappeared and unpleasant height differences between the rapids. It is important to note that the design of the shaft made it possible to increase the doorway of the elevator car up to 800 mm. Thanks to this innovation, the use of the lift by such categories of residents as, for example, mothers with prams, has become much more convenient. Specialists installed advanced telescopic doors with an opening of 800 mm and a built-in modern security system in the form of infrared control, which prevents the doors from closing if someone or something is in the opening.

Since 2019, all elevators installed in residential high-rise buildings in Moscow as part of the regional overhaul program meet the unified standard of aesthetics and comfort developed by the FKR of Moscow. In the cabin of the new elevator, the control panel is made of stainless steel, the buttons with floor numbering are circularly illuminated and dubbed in Braille, and the built-in display always shows the floor number and direction of movement. The cabin is also equipped with a voice informer.

Residential building No. 48 on Picturesque Street was built according to an individual project. Its facades are distinguished by rectangular windows and balconies, the lower parts of which are decorated with consoles. The entrance groups are punctuated by massive portals. The three lower floors are separated from the upper part of the building by a wide interfloor belt. The high windows of the first floor of the street facade are decorated with U-shaped architraves. The corners of the house are rusticated. The facade is crowned with a cornice with denticles.

It is interesting to note that the street on which the house is located got its name due to the picturesque relief of the banks of the Moscow River. Residents of the upper floors of this house can enjoy the unique landscape of the water surface from their windows.

To clarify the timing and types of work under the overhaul program, so-called short-term implementation plans are drawn up. The plan for 2021–2023 includes 4,437 houses in the capital with a total area of ​​34.2 million square meters. In 2022, repairs will begin in 1.7 thousand houses.
