The regional stage of the Russian Figure Skating Cup will be held in Stavropol

On October 7-8, 2023, the regional figure skating center competition for the Andrei Bukin Olympic Champion Cup will be held in Stavropol with the participation of athletes and figure skating fans.
For the first time, the annual amateur figure skating competition will be held in a new status. They will be the first stage of the All-Russian amateur figure skating competition (Stavropol stage of the Russian Cup). In total, 15 such stages will take place in Russia.
More than 120 athletes and amateurs from Stavropol, Nevinnomyssk, Essentuka, Rostov-on-Don, Aksai, Astrakhan, Krasnodar, Donetsk and the Moscow region will compete for victory at the first stage of the Russian Cup.
Olympic champion Andrei Bukin himself will take part in awarding the winners of the competition. As part of the competition, the athlete will also conduct master classes for figure skating fans and coaches. 2014 Olympic champion Ekaterina Bobrova has been invited to the competition as an honorary guest, who will also conduct a master class.
The organizer of the event is the autonomous non-profit organization “Figure Skating Development Center”. As part of the competition, the Center will present the opening of the primary branch of the all-Russian public-state Movement of Children and Youth “Movement of the First” in the status of a collective participant. This status opens up prospects for cooperation between the Center and the Movement, involving young people in mass sports events and projects, as well as in master classes of invited athletes.
