The regional stage of the hunting biathlon competition took place in the Kostroma region

The regional society of hunters and fishermen and the regional skeet shooting federation report that, with the support of the Department of Natural Resources, hunting biathlon competitions were held near the village of Kholm, Kostroma region, on February 17.
This year, 15 teams from different regions of the region competed for the title of best hunter. The competition took place in conditions “close to combat” – snowfall and gusty winds made it very difficult for hunters to move along the route and aim at the figure of a fictitious wild boar, located 40 meters from the firing lines.
Nevertheless, the Kostroma shooters showed enviable accuracy using “native” and well-aimed barrels: in the individual competition, the best among men was a hunter from the Krasnoselsky region, Leonid Semenov, and among the women, “gold” went to Tatyana Chiburova from Kostroma.
In addition to cups and certificates of honor, the winners received the right to participate in the Open Interregional Hunting Biathlon Championship, which will be held on March 2 in the Yaroslavl region.
