At least 11 people were killed in brutal Israeli airstrikes in Rafah

The Palestinian Red Crescent has reported “fierce attacks” by the Israeli army on the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip, Reuters reports.

In the city of Rafah, located in the south of the Gaza Strip near the border with Egypt, a large-scale military operation is taking place by the Israel Defense Forces. According to information provided by the Qatari television channel Al Jazeera, at least 11 people were killed and dozens were injured as a result of the attacks.

According to the TV channel, Israeli aircraft are attacking residential buildings in Rafah and carrying out targeted strikes on the Al-Huda and Al-Rahma mosques, where a large number of refugees are located.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reports bombings of buildings near the Al-Amal medical center and the organization’s headquarters, carried out by Israeli Air Force aircraft.

The situation in the Middle East has deteriorated significantly after on October 7, 2023, militants of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas entered Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip, killing residents of border settlements and taking hostages.
