Daily Mirror: British rat catcher talks about a rat the length of a dog
Rats are getting smarter and bigger. A professional rat catcher from Britain spoke about this, writes the Daily Mirror.
According to former sportsman and rat control specialist Kieran Sampler, he trained two dogs to catch rodents and has been ridding homes and farms of rats for more than five years.
Sampler claims that the largest rat he caught was 57 centimeters long from head to tail. This is twice the length of a Chihuahua dog.
Most of the rats he catches are 46 centimeters in length.
The reason for these changes, the rat catcher believes, is the large amount of garbage on the streets and weakening control over the rat population during the COVID-19 pandemic.
