The races of the Freeride World Tour Qualifier stage of the international competitions have started at the Elbrus resort in Kabardino-Balkaria, as reported in the Telegram channel of the Administration of the Head of the Republic.
More than 100 professional athletes participate in off-piste competitions.
The races will take place until March 24 in two stages of difficulty – two and three stars. At each stage, the athlete receives points for participation in the Freeride World Tour.
In addition, at the end of March, Elbrus will host the Russian Championship and competitions for the Russian Cup in alpine skiing. Professional athletes will compete on high-altitude slopes from March 29 to April 1.
It was previously reported that on Elbrus, charging stations for electric vehicles will be included in the Russian Book of Records.
