As MK in Karelia photojournalist Irina Yakovleva reported, this afternoon, January 1 at 12.00, a “wish race” took place in Petrozavodsk. Almost 100 runners, starting from the Rotunda, covered a symbolic distance of 2024 meters.
Each of the participants had a desire written on their numbers, with which they entered the race. Basically, as the photojournalist noted, they wished peace, happiness, love and good luck, only one boy wrote “a lot of money.”
“The frost today was severe, 27-30 degrees on the embankment. After the race, everyone drank hot tea with cakes and treated themselves to tangerines,” said photographer Irina Yakovleva.
