A criminal case was opened against the courier under the most serious article.

The Krasnodar Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the article “committing a terrorist attack” against the detained native of Melitopol, Yegor Semenov, who tried to poison pilots, graduates of the Armavir School, with cake and whiskey. According to MK expert, lawyer Dmitry Agranovsky, the article under which he is suspected is one of the most serious. The man faces up to life imprisonment.

On the day of celebrating the 20th anniversary of the next release of AVVAKUL, a courier delivered about 20 liters of poisoned whiskey, cognac and a two-tier cake. It was only thanks to the vigilance of the officers that neither alcohol nor cake made it onto the festive table.

Four days after the confession, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under paragraph “a” of Part 3 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – “committing a terrorist attack.” Investigators distributed videoin which Semenov purchases whiskey in a store to give to the pilots.

– Sometimes a criminal case is initiated under one article, and later reclassified to another when new circumstances arise. In this case, the criminal case opened under the article “Hooliganism” made it possible to carry out investigative actions,” lawyer Dmitry Agranovsky told MK.

Since the courier’s arrest, which occurred on October 22, investigators have been able to collect evidence linking him to this crime.

– Involvement is established through evidence. Apparently they have been discovered. Evidence can be very different – examinations, video recordings, witness statements – there can be a lot of them. If they show the involvement of a person, in the opinion of the investigation, then a preliminary investigation is carried out,” the lawyer said.

Agranovsky also recalled that confessions can serve as the basis for establishing involvement. Let us remind you that the detainee admitted that he poisoned the cake and alcohol the day after his arrest.

According to the expert, the article under which the criminal case was opened is “one of the most difficult articles, under which the most serious acts are carried out.” However, it is still difficult to predict the punishment that may be imposed on the courier.

– This article provides for a punishment of 15 to 20 years, or life imprisonment. It is difficult to predict now how much this person will be given. Everything happens very differently. – said the human rights activist.

Meanwhile, according to the Telegram channel Fightbomber, in connection with the terrorist attack, all graduation events at aviation schools will now be held strictly within the walls of the schools.

“This is not very fun, but, on the other hand, this episode will go down in history,” wrote the channel admin, who was the first to give news about the emergency.
