The focus is on supporting military personnel and their families
Issues of social adaptation of military personnel participating in a special military operation were discussed at a meeting of the Presidium of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense with the participation of Deputy Minister of Defense – Head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces, Colonel General Viktor Goremykin.
Before the start of the meeting, social activists visited the memorial office of Marshal Zhukov. The deputy head of the Glavpur, Major General Sergei Gusev, told the public about the peculiarities of organizing military-political work during the Northern Military District. In turn, the chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense, editor-in-chief of “MK” Pavel Gusev informed the members of the presidium about the results of the trip of the delegation of the Council to the garrisons of Siberia and Orenburg. Social activists worked in military units, military universities and military registration and enlistment offices.
“Everywhere, the main issue for discussion, in addition to the organization of training and accommodation of military personnel, was the issue of organizing the social adaptation of participants in a special military operation, including those who were seriously wounded, as well as assistance to their family members,” said Pavel Gusev.
According to social activists, in the Novosibirsk, Omsk and Orenburg regions they take a serious approach to solving social issues and providing the necessary assistance to military personnel and members of their families.
“Of course, it is not yet possible to resolve all the difficult situations that arise, and on a number of issues, members of the Public Council are trying to provide all possible assistance in resolving them,” said the Chairman of the Council. “The guys expect help from us, so I think this work is very important for everyone, and I ask you to continue it and treat it responsibly.”
It was decided that by the end of November, members of the Public Council will submit their proposals, which will be considered when drawing up the Council’s work plan in 2024.
