Ukrainian scammers are trying to take over the accounts of Russians on State Services to influence the elections in Russia. This was stated by Maxim Grigoriev, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation and head of the working group on public control over voting.
“We see how these fraudulent centers are used in Ukraine, which are trying to use social technologies to intercept control of these accounts in State Services in order to influence voting,” he said (quote according to RIA Novosti).
Western intelligence services, according to Grigoriev, “force even relatives living in territories controlled by Ukraine to call people, intimidate members of election commissions, observers,” etc.
As before told Head of the Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova, over the past two election days, more than 20,000 attacks have been recorded on the remote electronic voting (DEG) website. She clarified that several “very targeted, very complex impacts on the entire DEG infrastructure” were identified.
On September 10, a single voting day (UVD) takes place in Russia. There are 4,270 election campaigns of various levels taking place in 85 regions. Representatives of 20 parties were registered, a total of 81,000 candidates, United Russia had the most candidates, then the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the Liberal Democratic Party. Elections are being held for the first time in new regions – the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
