Data on the elections of the head of Yakutia after processing 0.37% of the protocols, published by state agencies before the closure of polling stations, were made public due to an error by one of the system administrators of the Central Election Commission, reported “RIA News” press service of the Central Election Commission of Russia.
“While entering data for already closed polling stations, one of the system administrators mistakenly pressed the “post” button, which led to the premature display of voting results on the Information Center screen. There were no distortions in the data,” the Central Election Commission said. At the same time, the CEC clarified that the preliminary data on the elections in Yakutia, which will be published later during the day, are correct, because the polling stations have already closed.
The first among state news agencies to publish preliminary data on the results of the elections of the head of Yakutia “RIA News”, at 13:37 Moscow time (19:37 Yakut time). According to the agency, which cited data from the Central Election Commission, after processing 0.37% of the election protocols, the current head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, nominated by United Russia, was in the lead. At the same time, at the time of publication of the message, polling stations in the republic were still open. They closed at 20:00 (14:00 Moscow time).
From September 8 to 10, three days of voting are taking place in 85 regions of Russia for elections at various levels – governors, deputies of legislative assemblies, heads and deputies of municipalities.
