Khvatov commented on the growing trend among teenagers devoted to animal abuse. “The child harbors resentment and restrains anger, and then splashes everything on another living being,” the psychologist explained. “Which, like the child himself, cannot fight back the tormentor.” Moreover, it is fundamentally important for the torturer that the object of influence be alive and give feedback, since “the torturer needs to observe the suffering of the victim.”
