The prosecutor’s office of Ukraine has launched checks against the former Odessa military commissar, who is suspected of illegal enrichment, evasion of military service and abuse of power. Although the name of the military commissar was not officially mentioned, the available facts point to the former head of the Territorial Command Center (TCC) of the Odessa region, Yevgeny Borisov, Ukrainian media write.

Particular attention is paid to verifying information about the property of members of the Borisov family abroad. According to journalists, during martial law, members of the family of the Odessa military commissar purchased a premium car and real estate in Spain for more than 196 million hryvnia, incommensurate with the income received during this period.

Investigators also sent requests to the competent authorities in Spain, Moldova, Romania and Turkey for information.

“At the moment, more than 30 witnesses have been interrogated in the framework of criminal proceedings, 11 searches, 17 inspections and temporary accesses have been carried out, more than 100 requests have been sent to state authorities, enterprises, institutions and organizations, three tax audits of the economic activities of family members of an official have been carried out,” – reports the office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

Recall that in early May, law enforcement agencies published information about the detention of Yevgeny Borisov, head of the Territorial Command Center of the Odessa region. He is charged with selling so-called white tickets, which provide exemption from mobilization.
