The prosecutor’s office issued a warning to the organizer of the children’s holiday with Huggy Waggi and Verka Serduchka’s songs

The prosecutor’s office issued a warning to the head of the event-agency “Childhood Holiday” Alexander Kudinov because of the organization of a children’s holiday with life-size puppets of Haggi Waggi and Verka Serduchka’s song “Hulyanochka” with the lines “She did not die Ukraine.” Mr. Kudinov in conversation with RT said that an old playlist was played at the holiday, from which the agency staff did not think to remove Verka Serduchka’s song.

A children’s matinee was held in the city of Gryaz, Lipetsk Region, on February 24. According to Alexander Kudinov, the video from the holiday hit the Internet from a work chat. He explained that he was not personally present at the matinee and found out about what had happened only after the event. Mr. Kudinov also said that employees of the prosecutor’s office became interested in the incident. On February 28, he received a warning and was also asked not to allow this to happen in the future.

“An old playlist was playing at the festival, which was compiled long before the start. Now the songs of Verka Serduchka, of course, no one would deliberately stage. But this song, “The Party,” began to play – children and adults just continued to dance and have fun, not paying attention to the music, and it all got on the video, ”said Alexander Kudinov to RT.

According to him, his employees had no malicious intent. They’ve worked hard to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Mr. Kudinov also told RT that he supports the Russian army in the conflict in Ukraine. He added that he had repeatedly collected humanitarian aid for the residents of Donbass.

February 26 Telegram channel SHOT published video from the children’s party. It shows how animators dressed as Huggy Waggi and Kisi Misi are dancing with children to Verka Serduchka’s song “The Party”. In a comment to the Telegram channel, the organizers of the holiday promised to look into what had happened, and also stated that “they do not want immortality for Ukraine.”

In April 2022 Izvestia reportedthat Verka Serdyuchka and a number of other Ukrainian artists were banned from entering Russia for 50 years.
