The prosecutor’s office asks for three years in prison for Memorial co-founder Orlov

The state prosecution is petitioning to change the preventive measure for the co-chairman of the Center for the Protection of Human Rights (CDHR) “Memorial” (created by employees of the “Memorial” included in the register of foreign agents and liquidated) 70-year-old Oleg Orlov under the article on discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. As Memorial reports, the prosecutor’s office argues that the petition to change the preventive measure is that the co-founder of Memorial experiences political and ideological hatred of the Russian Federation, and together with Memorial continues to “undermine the stability of civil society.”
