Hydrologist Alexander Tsvetkov received an official apology from the Moscow prosecutor’s office in connection with the illegal accusation of a series of murders.

As MK learned, the apology for moral damage was made “on behalf of the state.” Tsvetkov was accused of several brutal murders committed in Moscow and the Moscow region in 2002. The accusation was based on the testimony of the person detained for these crimes, as well as on the results of a study of an identikit using artificial intelligence. Tsvetkov spent almost a year in a pre-trial detention center, after which he was released due to lack of proof of his involvement in the crimes.
