The Prosecutor General’s Office recognized the religious organization “Covenant of Churches TCCN” as undesirable in Russia

Prosecutor General’s Office acknowledged undesirable activities of the international religious organization “Covenant of Churches TCCN”, based in the United States. The department claims that its work “threatens the foundations of the constitutional order, defense capability and security” of Russia and is aimed at “changing the spiritual and moral values” of the country. In addition, according to the department, the organization collected money for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Prosecutor General’s Office sent information about the decision to the Ministry of Justice.

“Under the guise of spreading religious teachings, the founder and head of the organization, US citizen Andrey Shapovalov, created a destructive association whose activities are aimed at suppressing the personality of followers in order to raise funds. The organization has its representative offices in a number of constituent entities of the Russian Federation,” the Prosecutor General’s Office said. The Covenant of TCCN Churches is represented in Russia by the Light of Heaven G12 Churches in Moscow and the Awakening of the Nations G12 SPb Churches in St. Petersburg.

The Prosecutor General’s Office claims that the TCCN Covenant of Churches collected donations and sent them to support the armed forces of Ukraine. In addition, according to the department, the organization disseminated information about “anti-Russian actions around the world.” “The efforts of the association are aimed at trying to change power in an unconstitutional way and change the spiritual and moral values ​​​​of the Russian Federation,” the department added.

According to information on the organization’s website, Andrei Shapovalov’s family emigrated to the United States when he was 17 years old. In 2005, he became acquainted with the teachings of G12 (“Government of 12” – the reign of twelve), based on the mentorship of Jesus Christ over the twelve disciples, and opened the first church in Washington. In St. Petersburg, a representative office of the Covenant of Churches TCCN was opened in 2010, in Moscow – in 2017.
