The Prosecutor General's Office recognized the activities of three Canadian NGOs as undesirable

Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia admitted The activities of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) registered in Canada, Munk school of global affairs and public policy, Norman Paterson school of international affairs, created at the University of Toronto and Carleton University, are undesirable. The department stated that both NGOs are participating in a campaign to “incite anti-Russian sentiments” and are engaged in discrediting the Russian government. The Canadian NGO Russian Canadian Democratic Alliance, which promotes human rights and freedoms in Russia, is also considered undesirable.

The Prosecutor General’s Office added that the Russian Canadian Democratic Alliance is engaged in propaganda of the “International LGBT Social Movement,” which is recognized as extremist in Russia. The department also accused NGOs of calling for arms supplies to Ukraine.

The department sent information to the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation to include all three organizations in the list of undesirable organizations in the country.
