The Prosecutor General’s Office published a list of violations that allow to suspend the activities of the media

The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office has prepared a list of violations that allow the suspension of the activities of the media and the termination of the license.

According to the draft order published on the website of draft regulations and legal acts, the grounds for making these decisions may be, in particular, the publication of fake information with data about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation or discrediting them.

In addition, we are talking about the facts of dissemination under the guise of reliable messages of unreliable socially significant information that creates a threat of harm to the life and health of citizens and property. This also applies when such information carries a threat of mass disturbance of public order.

The list also includes publications in an indecent form of information that offends human dignity, as well as public morality and expresses disrespect for society, the state, and also for the official state symbols of Russia.

At the same time, the dissemination of materials with calls for unauthorized public actions, as well as mass violations of public order, can also become the basis for the termination of the activities of the media and the termination of the license.

Earlier, the State Duma of Russia adopted in the third reading a bill on introduction of administrative responsibility for the promotion of non-traditional sexual relations, pedophilia and gender reassignment. The law prohibits the promotion of LGBT, transgender and pedophilia on the Internet, including computer games, media, books, audiovisual services, cinema and advertising.

Under the ban is the sale of goods that contain prohibited information. Sites that violate the established norms will be entered into the register of prohibited sites with their subsequent blocking. Foreign citizens and stateless persons for such violations will face expulsion from the Russian Federation.
