The Prosecutor General’s Office recognized the German NGO Russian Election Monitor as an undesirable organization
The German non-governmental organization Russian Election Monitor was recognized as an undesirable organization in Russia. The corresponding decision was made by the Prosecutor General’s Office after an appeal from the State Duma commission to investigate facts of foreign interference. This was announced by the head of the commission Vasily Piskarev.
“The German NGO was formed by a group of Polish, French and German Russophobe politicians calling on their governments to continue supplying arms to Ukraine and closely associated with the OSCE, PACE, the Heinrich Böll Foundation, undesirable in Russia, and other organizations unfriendly to our country,” he quotes as saying Piskareva telegram channel Duma commission.
According to him, attention to this organization was drawn during the past election campaigns in connection with the discrediting of the Russian electoral system. The parliamentarian noted that “the destructive activity of the organization” was again recorded in Russia.
Previously, the Russian Ministry of Justice entered into the register undesirable organizations three foreign organizations.
