The Prosecutor General’s Office has launched an investigation into violations of laws in the procurement of catering services for athletes, which contain signs of corruption. This is stated in the report of the Accounts Chamber for 2023, which is available TASS.

“A number of violations of the law have been established in the procurement of catering services in federal training centers, travel for athletes, and the purchase of sports equipment, including signs of corruption offenses and damage to the economic interests of the state,” the document says.

Previously “Vedomosti” with reference to the report, they wrote that in 2023 the Accounts Chamber identified violations in the field of healthcare and sports in the amount of 160.4 billion rubles.
