The Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia announced the recognition of the activity of the Allatra movement based in Ukraine as undesirable in the Russian Federation. The agency calls the movement a “pseudo-religious organization” whose members discredit the Russian army and authorities at the behest of Ukraine.
“Activists of the Allatra Movement Movement on the territory of the Russian Federation receive instructions from Ukrainian curators about the need to establish contacts with representatives of the opposition forces and conduct unified coordinated actions to discredit the policies of federal and regional authorities,”— says in a message from the Attorney General.
The department noted that after the start of the military operation in Ukraine, the Allarta movement began to spread “deliberately false information” about the Russian army.
The Allatra Movement was created in Kyiv in 2011. In 2014, it was officially registered in Ukraine as a religious organization. The movement itself notes that its units operate in Russia, Ukraine, the United States and several European countries. The Allatra leadership positions the movement as “a public union operating outside of politics and outside of religion.”
