The Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia supported the idea of control by the Ministry of Internal Affairs over mentally ill people.
Law enforcement agencies should be informed about mentally ill citizens, Irina Rebrina, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Department for Supervision of the Execution of Federal Legislation, shared details.
According to her, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation does not call for interfering in the treatment of this category of Russians, but only advocates looking after them by the authorized bodies and obtaining data from their relatives about their lives.
The task of appropriate control is to prevent possible violence by mentally ill people who can harm children.
