The Prosecutor General’s Office revealed 145,000 violations of the law in the FSIN system in a year
In 2022, the Prosecutor General’s Office declared 483 cases of placing convicts in ShIZOs illegal. The supervisory agency also canceled 1893 penalties that were imposed on inmates.
Such data were announced by Anton Davydov, Deputy Head of the Department for Supervision of the Legality of the Execution of Criminal Punishments of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation.
The prosecutor’s office for the year revealed 145 thousand violations of the law behind bars. Almost 50 thousand employees of the prison department were found guilty of them. 175 criminal cases were initiated on these facts. 28 submissions from the General Prosecutor’s Office were sent to the director of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia.
