The prosecutor demanded that actionist Pavel Krisevich be sentenced to five years in prison for an action on Red Square in June 2021, when he shot himself in the temple with a P-411 pistol, simulating suicide. “Today a debate between the parties took place in the Tverskoy Court. The state prosecutor demanded that Krisevich be sentenced to five years in prison to be served in a general regime colony,” said Pavel Krisevich’s lawyer.

Initially, the actionist was accused of hooliganism committed with the use of weapons by a group of persons by prior conspiracy (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). However, later the charge of hooliganism committed by a group of people was excluded from the charge. The judge also took into account the fact that this was Pavel Krisevich’s first criminal offense.

During the trial, Pavel Krisevich said that he specifically chose a place for the protest where there were no people, and also did not point the gun at strangers and did not have criminal intent.
