The procedure for technical support for athletes of Russian national teams has changed: mass purchases are being prepared

This also applies to those who are just planning to get into the national team

The Ministry of Sports plans to change the procedure for logistical support of sports teams of the Russian Federation at the expense of federal budget funds. In accordance with the draft order, which the department submitted for public discussion on the portal of draft regulatory legal acts, it will be better to provide athletes, including with technical means.

Now money is being allocated from the state treasury, in particular, for sports technological equipment and inventory, software and hardware systems for collecting and analyzing operational sports information, refereeing information equipment, etc.

All this will remain, and the list will be replenished with two new items. These are, firstly, tools for preparing inventory, and secondly, technical equipment (laptop, tablet, computer, video camera, camera, TV, printer, projector and accessories). However, the latter concerns, rather, the national teams as a whole, and not their individual representatives.

There are also some clarifications regarding individual equipment. If in the current order the concept of “general-purpose sports equipment” is defined simply as “uniforms,” then in the new document the definition will be “uniforms, shoes, sports backpack, sports bag, towel.”

The third change expands the list of athletes who will need to be equipped at the expense of the state. Now this only applies to teams that plan to participate in international competitions included in the Unified Calendar Plan of interregional, all-Russian and international physical education events and sports events. The new order involves extending equipment standards to those teams that are simply training according to Olympic programs.
