The procedure for recognizing foreign diplomas of education will be transferred to electronic form

Yesterday, the State Duma approved in the first reading amendments to the Federal Law “On Education in the Russian Federation”, which provide for the transfer of services for state accreditation of educational activities, as well as certificates of recognition of diplomas and qualifications obtained abroad, into electronic form. This work will start on January 1, 2023.
As Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science Sergey Rukavishnikov noted, organizations and individuals receiving these types of services will be exempted from the need to receive paper documents. Instead, relevant entries will be made in electronic registers.
The document also states that the term for the provision of state accreditation services will be reduced from 105 calendar days to 25 working days. The time allotted for the recognition of a foreign education will not change and will be 45 days.
