The Prime Minister of Ukraine announced damage to 37 defense enterprises

As a result of the strikes in Ukraine, 37 defense enterprises were damaged, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said during a speech at the defense industries forum. This was reported by the Ukrainian publication UNN.

“We understand that our defense industry remains one of the main targets for Russian missile attacks. 37 enterprises were affected by such attacks. We are now working on additional proposals for their restoration,” Shmygal said.

He added that Kyiv is cooperating with partner countries on the issue of restoring Western military equipment, and the Ukrainian military-industrial complex is now experiencing a new birth. According to Shmygal, new production facilities are being launched and the work of those enterprises that were producing results until the outbreak of hostilities in February 2022 is expanding. The Ukrainian Prime Minister recalled that last year the Cabinet of Ministers approved a number of state target programs in which special emphasis is placed on the development of production ammunition, missiles and air defense systems.

“In 2023, the government began several pilot projects to produce different types of drones. We are systematically simplifying bureaucratic procedures for the production of various types of equipment and weapons,” Shmygal said.

Since the beginning of the special operation, the Russian Ministry of Defense has repeatedly reported attacks on military targets in Ukraine. 1 May Russian forces inflicted a group missile strike with high-precision weapons against military-industrial complex facilities, the goal of the strike was achieved, the report reported. The department said that as a result, the work of enterprises producing ammunition, weapons and military equipment for Ukrainian troops was disrupted.

In September, the Russian Armed Forces using drones inflicted a blow to a Ukrainian shipbuilding enterprise where unmanned boats were assembled.
