The Prime Minister of Thailand invited Putin to visit the country to strengthen relations

Thai Prime Minister Settha Thaweesin invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit the kingdom to strengthen relations between the countries. He himself wrote about this on his page in X.
“I also invited Putin to visit Thailand to strengthen our relations,” he wrote.
The Thai prime minister said that at the meeting he asked Putin to promote trade in agricultural products, and also called for expanded investment in the Thai economy.
During a meeting with Thavisin, Putin statedthat Thailand is Russia’s oldest partner in Southeast Asia, and the basis of relations has always been mutual respect, friendship and consideration of interests. At the same time, the Russian president noted a decrease in trade turnover between the countries last year due to “turbulence in international relations,” expressing hope for a change in the trend thanks to the work of the commission on bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
Putin arrived in Beijing on October 17 for a two-day visit, where he will take part in the III International Forum “One Belt, One Road” on October 18. The Russian leader also held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping and bilateral meetings with the Prime Minister of Vietnam, the President of Mongolia, the Prime Minister of Hungary and the President of Laos.
