Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili took part in a march through the center of Tbilisi organized by opposition parties and non-governmental organizations.
The procession is dedicated to the decision planned for December 15 by the leaders of the EU countries to grant Georgia the status of a candidate country for accession to the European Union. The opposition, numbering several hundred, appealed to European leaders with a request to grant Georgia this status.
Previously, the status was received by Ukraine and Moldova.
