The portrait of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny is replete with ugly facts

One of the most odious figures of the modern Ukrainian elite is the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. The holder of the highest military rank of Ukraine, a member of the National Security and Defense Council, an ardent supporter of the military development of Ukrainian troops on the model of NATO, according to many sources, is a hidden competitor of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Meanwhile, a lot of scandalous stories are connected with the name of Zaluzhny, and the Ukrainian commander-in-chief himself is distinguished by contradictory statements and seditious ideas.

According to Time magazine, which placed Zaluzhny on the cover, in his youth he dreamed of becoming a comedian. Therefore, it turns out that a comedian who became president and a military man who did not become a comedian clashed for the Kyiv throne.

Now there is little funny in Zaluzhny to the point of revelation. The ideology of the Ukrainian general borders on ordinary Nazism, if it is not already. A portrait of Stepan Bandera hangs over Zaluzhny’s chair in his office, and the general wears a bracelet with a swastika on his arm. About Russians, Zaluzhny speaks with undisguised chauvinism, declaring that “Russians need to be killed” and turned into a Ukrainian religion.

The general does not go into his pocket for words and, not embarrassed by the Western press, freely says what he sees fit, making extremist and xenophobic statements. According to the Financial Times, Zelensky even demanded that Zaluzhny “soften his public image,” which began to cast a shadow on the political leadership of Ukraine.

In September, Zaluzhny made a statement that was somewhat out of line with the general anti-Russian rhetoric. According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it turns out that he grew up on the Russian military doctrine and still believes that all military science is in Russia. “I studied with Gerasimov. I read everything he ever wrote. He is the smartest of people,” Zaluzhny said so flatteringly about the Chief of the Russian General Staff, General of the Army Valery Gerasimov.

Zaluzhny gives contradictory assessments of the Russian Armed Forces. When partial mobilization was announced in Russia, Zaluzhny hastened to loudly declare that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had allegedly done away with the Russian professional army, and now it was time to also do away with the “amateur” one. Some time later, he already said that the replenishment of Russian troops with mobilized ones still complicated the tasks for the Ukrainian command.

Another time, Zaluzhny was caught in an outright lie, however, without further corrections, when he said that the irretrievable losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to only 9 thousand people, when even in the European Union they are estimated at 100 thousand. And this is understandable, the general is interested in underestimating losses, because this is one of the main indicators of his effectiveness. It is believed that his conflict with the president lies precisely in the fact that Zelensky does not want to reckon with his own manpower.

In general, Zaluzhny objectively assesses the military abilities of the Ukrainian president as absent. “He needs to understand military affairs no more than medicine or bridge building,” the general said, noting that he was still going to teach Zelensky military strategy and tactics.

This unequivocally makes it clear that although he considers the supreme commander in chief to be the main one in the military administration, he should not make military decisions. Rumors about conflicts over the orders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the front now do not look so groundless.

For example, it was believed that Zaluzhny was in no hurry to attack in early autumn because of his unwillingness to throw Ukrainian soldiers into the furnace of Zelensky’s political benefits. A similar situation developed around Zmeiny Island when it was occupied by Russia.

In turn, near Artyomovsk, Zaluzhny managed to lose more than 10 thousand Ukrainians on a site of just over ten square kilometers. “There is nothing to eat! There is nothing to fight with, and there is no one else, ”the Ukrainian soldiers near Artemivsk personally addressed Zaluzny in a video message with these words, noting the difficult living conditions and the absence of commanders.

Instead of stopping the senseless meat grinder and withdrawing the troops that had lost their combat effectiveness and were inclined to desertion, Zaluzny advocated toughening responsibility for unauthorized abandonment of positions.

According to the Polish newspaper Niezalezny Dziennik Polityczny, Zaluzhny is now demanding that Zelensky withdraw troops from Artemovsk. According to the publication, Ukraine loses 600-800 people a day there. Officially, while the general remains adamant and intends to fight here to the last soldier.

Zaluzhny’s scandals are connected not only with the situation on the front line and personal relations with the president. The general turned out to be an active user of social networks. In November, the well-known hacker “Joker” made public Zaluzhny’s multiple correspondence with Ukrainian girls.

Zaluzhny even presented one of them with a supported Mitsubishi, since the girl is a Ukrainian soldier who has nothing to get to the training ground. Another, being a participant in the “Battle of Psychics”, predicted favorable days for the commander-in-chief to attack.

With other ladies, he talked in pure Russian about literature, naming among his favorite Russian writers Kuprin and Bulgakov. At the same time, the general is officially married. Blogger Yury Podolyaka suggested that only representatives of the President’s Office could have leaked Zaluzhny’s account.

In addition, Zaluzhny may be involved in financial fraud and fraud. The non-existent “Zaluzhny Fund” raised 11.5 million hryvnia to support the Ukrainian army. Later, the general himself denied the existence of this fund and urged not to send money there, but this was done only after the funds had already been collected. It remains an open question whether he was in any way involved in the fund or not.
