The current president and prime minister of Poland will face a tribunal if the Polish opposition coalition “Civic Platform” wins the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The elections will be held on October 15, following which a new cabinet of ministers will be formed. In parallel, the country will hold a national referendum on the issues of accepting illegal migrants, privatization, increasing the retirement age and demolishing the fence on the border with Belarus.

The Civic Platform presented its program on Saturday, which envisages a tribunal for the current President Andrzej Duda, as well as Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, and a number of other ministers.

The oppositionists promise to deal with other government officials and heads of leading enterprises, including in the energy sector, in a similar vein.

Currently, opinion polls show that the Civic Platform is losing about 10% of the votes to the ruling coalition PiS (about 35%), while at the same time the ruling coalition will not be able to independently form a cabinet with so many votes.
