The players of the Voronezh “Fakel” reported that the earthquake that occurred in Turkey did not affect the players of the team. The training camp, where the Voronezh athletes are now, takes place far from the epicenter of seismic activity. The fact that none of the team’s players were injured was reported by the club’s press service on Monday, February 6.
– We’re all right. A huge number of people suffered, many died, and we express our sincere condolences,” the Voronezh football players said.
In mid-January, Fakel flew to Turkey for training before RPL matches. On Monday, February 6, at 04:17 am, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 out of 10 began in the southeast of Turkey near the Syrian border.
For Turkey, this earthquake was the most powerful since 1939. According to the Turkish Office of Emergency Situations, 2,921 people died and 15,833 were injured in the earthquake.
