Athletes of Khakassia won the awards of the Siberian championship in pankration, a revived ancient Olympic martial art.
The championship and championship of the Siberian Federal District were held the day before in Krasnoyarsk with the participation of 500 athletes from 8 regions of Siberia. All of them fought for tickets to the championship and the championship of Russia in pankration, – informs press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation.
According to the results of the competition, Mikhali Bolganov from Khakassia took 1st place in the 84 kg weight category. Vadim Fealkovsky became the silver medalist in the 61 kg category. And Yegor Borgoyakov received bronze in the 67 kg category.
All three athletes received the right to participate in the next stage of the competition. The Russian Pankration Championship will be held from 5 to 9 April in St. Petersburg.
