Baza: a school in Nakhodka apologized for the physical education teacher who played the Snow Maiden at a children’s party
One of the secondary schools in Nakhodka made a public apology for a children’s New Year’s party, in which some citizens suspected “LGBT propaganda” (the Supreme Court recognized the “LGBT movement” as an extremist organization and banned its activities in the Russian Federation).
Baza provides details about the scandal. It is known that the holiday took place at a school in the microdistrict of the village of Livadia and was declared as a masquerade – everyone came in costumes, including many parents of the students. However, when photos and videos from the matinee appeared on social networks, some users were outraged and turned directly to the head of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako. On his personal page, one of the indignant citizens asked “the prosecutor’s office to pay attention” to a physical education teacher who was having fun with children dressed as the Snow Maiden.
“What kind of values can we talk about,” wrote the dissatisfied one, “if an overgrown Snow Maiden is played by a guy.”
Baza points out that a girl played Santa Claus at that holiday, but no one paid attention to this.
The school responded to the criticism and rushed to apologize. The institution reported that the Snow Maiden, who caused the scandal, was not the usual granddaughter of Father Frost, but a wolf in disguise – as in the legendary Soviet cartoon. The school also assured that they did not want to offend anyone. Baza notes that in the coming days a masquerade for high school students is supposed to take place at the school, but now its holding is not guaranteed.
As he writes “MK Vladivostok”some “parents filed a collective complaint to the prosecutor’s office against the physical education teacher” because “they did not appreciate the idea of the administration of the educational institution to hold a matinee in the style of a cartoon.”
