Pentagon: Reports of GPS failures on NATO’s eastern flank have been coming for several years

Over the past few years, there have been regular reports of problems with the global GPS network on NATO’s eastern flank, a Pentagon spokesman said in a statement. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

A Pentagon spokesman noted that since 2020, there has been a significant increase in such reports “about interference in GPS systems on NATO’s eastern flank.”

At the same time, the Pentagon did not disclose specific information, redirecting relevant requests to other relevant departments.

Earlier, problems with GPS were complained about in Estonia, where the commander of the Estonian Defense Forces, General Martin Herem, announced a failure in the GPS navigation of airliners and ships.
