US Department of Defense spokesman Patrick Ryder said at a briefing that Russia allegedly ignored a warning from US intelligence agencies about an impending terrorist attack in a crowded place.

“Of course we follow the principle of mandatory warning,” Ryder said.

He added that if the United States has information that needs to be shared to save innocent lives, then it is done.

The Pentagon press secretary also referred to previously made statements by representatives of the US Administration that Russia was given information about an impending terrorist attack.

Ryder repeated that, according to American intelligence, the Islamic State group (recognized as terrorist in Russia and banned in Russia) was behind the organization of the terrorist attack. He added that the question of why Russia chose to “ignore” this information should be addressed to Moscow.

Let us recall that earlier the head of the SVR Sergei Naryshkin confirmed that Russia received information from the United States about an impending terrorist attack, but this data did not contain specifics. And the day before, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said in a conversation with his French colleague that there is evidence of a Ukrainian trace in the attack on Crocus City Hall.
