The national teams of France and Argentina will meet on the evening of December 18 in the final match of the World Cup-22 in Qatar. The match will take place at Lusail Stadium and will determine the new World Cup Champion.
In Paris, preparations for the decisive duel are in full swing. The leadership of the metropolitan metro has decided to temporarily rename one of its stations.
We are talking about the Argentine station (fr. Argentine – ed.) of the first line of the Paris Metro, named after the Rue de Argentine street of the same name, located nearby. Now this station is called “France”, and the original name is covered with banners “Allez les Bleus” (“Forward, blue” – ed.).
Also, the French Ministry of the Interior said that security measures were stepped up throughout the country to prevent unrest – an additional 14,000 police officers were taken to the streets, of which 2,750 employees were sent to strengthen in Paris.
In addition, having learned from bitter experience, shopkeepers on the Champs Elysées in Paris boarded up shop windows with wooden shields, fearing the consequences of the World Cup 22 final match, regardless of its outcome.
