Of course, this fact could not fail to be noted by journalists who remember that Butman once admitted that he had a large number of housing not only in Russia, but also abroad. And, of course, the correspondents asked the owner what to do with all these apartments? Especially in our difficult times.
As it turned out, he himself asks this question, especially since Butman has six apartments!
– Good question! .. In America, for example, there is housing, but I didn’t even live there. It’s just that at one time it was a very inexpensive apartment – 48 thousand dollars, it is small. My friends were selling, it turned out that I helped them out, and I myself knew that everything would be reliable with the deal. But the apartment is far away, on the other side of the Hudson, in the state of New Jersey. She gives up, but there is little money.
As for the rest of the apartments, I live in one in St. Petersburg, this is my hometown. I have always dreamed of having my own apartment there. When my parents passed away, I was able to change. When musicians come from other cities, so as not to rent an apartment, they stay in my apartment.
– Do you still have housing on the seashore …
– Yes, I always dreamed of living in Yalta, or rather, having an apartment there. Even when even the Crimea was “not ours”, a friend offered a good deal, I succumbed to his charm and bought an apartment in Yalta. This house was completed, when “Crimea” became “ours”, repairs were made in the apartment, and my wife and I come there to relax in the summer. We walk, we go around the palaces, we were in Sevastopol at the play by Vladimir Mashkov. So it’s a wonderful place that we also really like.

Yes, I have an apartment there too. Well, it’s good to come there when it’s already cool in Yalta. And then it is better to fly there before the onset of extreme heat, I was there at the end of April. There, by the way, you can meet many of our Russians or not to meet – at will. You can safely relax, swim, go to museums. I have a piano in my apartment, I sit there, study and look at the sea through the window, write music. The apartment is relatively modest, so in my absence it is not necessary to follow it.
– We know that there is also housing in Moscow, especially since you spend a lot of time here …
— There are two apartments in Moscow. At first it was small, then there was a bigger one. Our brilliant pianist Oleg Akkuratov lives in that first apartment with his father.
– Maybe something has already been bequeathed to the children?
– Well, it’s still early. (Smiling.) In general, they have housing from their mother. Well, of course, when I, so to speak, leave for another apartment, they will legally become heirs. But maybe I need to make a will, maybe I will.
