The overhaul of the house with lucarnes and a mezzanine on Chasovaya Street is being completed

The overhaul of a six-story residential building on Chasovaya Street (Airport district, SAO) will be completed this fall. House No. 17 was erected in 1950 according to an individual project. The main façade of the building is symmetrical, each of the three parts is flared with pairs of bay windows, which are decorated with cornices on each floor. The side parts are completed by lucarnes, the central section is crowned by a mezzanine.

Before the start of work, a major overhaul project was developed, and materials and necessary equipment were selected.

Now the work on repairing the facade of a residential building is almost completed. Specialists carried out a complex set of works. First, the walls were cleared of accumulated dirt, then the peeling parts of the plaster layer were removed. Cracks were sealed with a special mortar and the surfaces were treated with modern antifungal and antiseptic compounds. At the next stage, the plaster layer was restored and the architectural elements were recreated. After the structural renovation, the facade surfaces were painted. Specialists still have to carry out work to replace the ebbs and install new pipes for the external drain.

The roof of house No. 17 was completely renovated, replacing worn-out rafters, lathing and roofing. Wooden elements are treated with a fire-retardant compound. Now laying of modern heat-insulating coatings is being carried out, which will maintain an optimal temperature and humidity regime.

An interesting fact: in house number 17 on Chasovaya Street lived a Soviet American historian, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor L.I. Zubok.

The Moscow Capital Improvement Program is one of the largest housing modernization projects not only in Russia, but in the world. The program includes more than 28,500 houses with a total area of ​​more than 275 million square meters. m., in which it is planned to repair more than 355 thousand engineering systems and structural elements of buildings and replace more than 112 thousand elevators.

To clarify the timing and types of work under the overhaul program, so-called short-term implementation plans are drawn up. The plan for 2021–2023 includes 4,437 houses in the capital with a total area of ​​34.2 million square meters. In 2022, repairs will begin in 1.7 thousand houses.
