The Oryol region will host a classical chess championship

The classical chess championship for men and women will be held in the Oryol region from January 22 to 30 at the chess and checkers sports school. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.
Athletes will be divided into 2 groups according to their level of training. Time control for the strongest – 1 hour 30 minutes until the end of the game with an addition of 30 seconds per move, for amateurs – 1 hour 30 minutes until the end of the game.
The first group will include international grandmasters and masters, FIDE masters, candidates for master of sports, and first-class athletes. In the second, everyone will be able to play – women along with men. On weekdays the games will start at 17:30, on Saturday and Sunday – at 16:00.
