Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva said she wants to play at Wimbledon. But it is not yet clear whether she will be given a British visa.
On Saturday, the 16-year-old Russian woman completed her debut Grand Slam tournament. In the third round of “Roland Garros” she lost to the sixth racket of the world Cory Gauff of the United States.
“My next tournament will be Wimbledon, but I still have not received a visa,” Andreeva shared. “Let’s see if I can play there.”
Wimbledon starts in a month on July 3rd and ends on July 16th. The organizers announced the admission of tennis players from Russia and Belarus in a neutral status.
