The oldest school in Ruzaevka will get a modern look

On January 1, 2022, the implementation of a new large-scale federal program for the overhaul of schools, initiated by President Vladimir Putin, began. School No. 5 was the first to enter this project in the Ruzaevsky district.

Thanks to the program, the school will replace the heating, water supply, and electrical networks, make interior decoration, and purchase furniture: desks, cabinets, tables, chairs. The update started with the start of spring break. The last quarter, in order not to interrupt the educational process, the students went to secondary school No. 17.

– The United Russia party has initiated a school overhaul project. School No. 5 is one of the oldest in the city, and soon it will have a renewed face and infrastructure. Public controllers have seen with their own eyes what has been done to date. The most important issue is compliance with the terms of the overhaul, – Victoria Bogdashkina, deputy of the State Assembly of the Republic of Mordovia, spoke about the progress of the repair work.

“We don’t want to let anyone down, so we strictly control the execution of work. First of all, it is important that on the festive lineup on September 1, the students were at their home school. We already caused them inconvenience by transferring them to secondary school No. 17 after spring break. I thank the parents and their children for their understanding and now I am asking for public control over the repair of the educational institution. But, to be honest, there are no fears: the contractor is conscientious, we have complete mutual understanding, and so far he does not fail, – added the head of the Ruzaevsky municipal district Alexander Yutkin during the next weekly planning meeting at the facility.

On weekends, he always comes here, because the builders are working even on Sunday. According to the official, now internal work is going on in all directions, the workers started fine finishing after June 15. At the moment, the builders have done almost all the dismantling work, they are changing the windows. The floors have also been leveled and poured, classrooms and corridors are being refurbished, engineering and electrical networks are being replaced, and ventilation is being installed. Dismantling of the heating system is planned in the near future. The landscaping of the outer territory will soon begin.

– The main building of the school was built in 1936, in 1992 additional premises were added to it. We are very pleased that our school was the first in the city to be included in the overhaul program. Today it is moving at a fast pace. The new conditions will make it possible to create a comfortable and modern educational environment in one of the oldest schools in Ruzaevka,” says technology teacher Igor Kozlov.

– We, the parents, of course, are very pleased and gratified to see such a large-scale renovation at the school. Our children will now study in comfortable conditions, – said the mother of one of the students, Yulia Lobanova.
